Movie Review: Struggle

Movie Review: Struggle

Complete Movie:

Review: Struggle

Breakdown:

Acting: ★★★
Story: ★★★★
Cinematography:★★

Overall:★★★★

This movie has a lot of heart.  The actors seem fresh and have potential, and the majority of the time I believed it, it was more of an issue with the supporting cast. The main actors did the best the could and you could tell there was a a lot of heart from them,  it just was what it was. The story is centered around a group of guys,  majority of them Gay, in urban Toronto. Sticking true to many big city Gay films, the boys are caught up in drugs and turning tricks.  I think a good aspect added is that the main character is from small town Canada and he narrates throughout the whole movie. It focuses on the struggles of this particular Gay youth, and the vicious cycle it creates. I think it could have touched a bit more on HIV, but the director and actors did the best they could. I felt that the story was a bit sporadic and at times didn't completely make sense,  and there were some scenes that didn't need to be there.  This would usually get 3 stars from me,  but taking in account all the factors post-production and the heat felt acting from the main guys,  it gets 4. This is worth a watch and just keep in mind the factors that surround the movie,  I think many of you will be pleased.

As always,  your feedback is very important to me so let a rip!

 Until Next Time,

Will
